Your mind leans on cognitive biases to interpret these feelings. Take, for instance:

Carbon offsetting receives its fair share of criticism. And sure, it’s not a flawless solution that magically fixes all environmental woes. But, for me, it’s better than doing nothing.

Finding a balance between living life to the fullest and being mindful of our planet’s health can be tough. Carbon offsetting is one tool I use that helps me work toward this delicate equilibrium.

For emissions I can’t eliminate in my life, like heating my home or traveling to see loved ones, offsetting has become my go-to solution.

    • I don’t acknowledge offset credits in advance unless I’m sure they’ll happen.
    • I choose unique offset projects, not just projects that would happen anyway.
    • I ensure the projects I invest in will stick around for a long time.
    • I ensure the project doesn’t harm local communities or nature.
